Above these city lights-Aedan

Here is the result of one of my first hired jobs. I've sold a couple of other paintings besides this one. My dad, Andrew Peterson, just released a new live record "Above these city lights" and I did the cover illustration. I did not do the cover design, mind you, just the illustration. My dad was originally going to use a picture, but it was not public domain, so I did it.

  2. Dude, it's beautiful. Great job, Aedan!

It reminds me somewhat of the cover to this Over the Rhine album:

You're really talented. Keep it up!

  3. Aedan -- I think you are amazing! I am so glad I got to meet you last year at Hutchmoot, and I hope I get to see you there again this year. I love your dad's work, and now I love yours too. He is crazy proud of you, and he has reason to be. Also, you should charge him more next time. :-)

  4. Hi, Aedan!

This is a lovely album cover. A bird lifting up its head to sing like that is just such a joyful sight, it's a perfect thing to see on your dad's record. I bet it's cool to think of copies of your art going out to people all over the place! And to think that when they see your painting, it will make them smile.

I hear that you like birds a lot. If you ever come to the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, I hope you get to see some of our special birds, like the chachalaca and the groove-billed ani, which are fun to watch, and our green jays and kiskadee flycatchers, which are very colorful and noisy!

I enjoy checking out your art! Thanks for sharing it.
