Fly away-Aedan

I am leaving for Thanksgiving so don't expect any posts for the next week...  I don't know where this dragon is going for Thanksgiving; I'm not inviting him to my Thanksgiving dinner.

Portrait of a Dragon-Aedan

He landed in my front yard and asked (threatened with smoking nostrils) that I draw his dashing features.  So, instead of arguing with a fire-breathing dragon, I drew him.  He then flew off with a copy of his dashing features between his claws.

My family goes to the pumpkin patch every year.  This year, while we were walking around, there was a gigantic tree with huge roots; it was awesome.  So, we took a picture of it and I drew it.

Abominable Snowman-Aedan

I did these tonight.  I just got Justin Gerards new sketch book and was inspired.  If you want to buy it, click here.

In my art class at school, I've been learning how to do shadows better. This is just some guy charging into battle.

Old Eagle-Aedan

I've been trying to improve my pencil techniques.  This is pencil on velum.  I think he's scolding a young chick.

Bat wolf-Aedan

I drew this just for fun.  Really I just thought the idea of a bat wolf was cool.  AAAAAHHHHH! Attack of the flying, evil, vampire, bat, wolf, things!

If you can't tell, this is a sketch of a cool ninja about to beat up a random bad guy.

Glorble Spiffet-Aedan (and Jesse)

This is a picture that I co-created with my brother Jesse.  It is weird.  It's a half monkey monster that is blind and eats with its hands (and its mouth).  It lives in trees and likes to eat leaves.  Plus it has tentacles.

This is its mother... her name is Sunshine.  She likes to eat clouds and katydids.
Information on these creatures was given to me by Jesse Peterson; expert on weird creatures.

Albertus QuinnQuil-Aedan

His name is Albertus QuinnQuil.  Right now he is looking (glaring) at a poor unfortunate boy staring at his frightening features and huge hands.  Oh!  Those terrible hands.  Al' is feeling a bit hurt at this.  He thinks: "it's not my fault I was born with such big hands!  What do you expect... I'm 1,200 years old!"

A random sketch.  I think I would like this guy to be on my team.  I think he is a good guy.

Something is wrong here... I just can't put my finger on it.

This is a dwarf contemplating the worlds problems... not some thing you see every day. (Well, maybe).

So, Bill Watterson, the creator of the cartoon "Calvin and Hobbes."  Let me just say he is one of my favorite artists ever.  E-ver!  He can paint the most magical scenes.  I studied this one recently, trying to imitate his techniques of water color and pen and ink.  I am truly amazed by his work.  (If you haven't read any of his stuff it's essential that you do it now, get a treasury or something.)
