Swedish Sketches

...Or sketches done in a Swedish sketchpad.

Side note:  I got to go to the John Bauer museum while in Sweden.  John Bauer was one of the great golden age illustrators and has a great influence on me.  It was awesome.  I drew many trolls after seeing the exhibit.

  1. Very nice! I'm especially fond of the Great Horned Owl sketch–I think they're magnificent birds, and you did a great job of capturing the regal superiority there. And I would love to see some of the trolls you mentioned. Great work, keep posting!

  2. Your drawing skills are improving dramatically! Probably due to all that sketching you've been doing! I'm particularly fond of the pilgrim next to the mushroom. Include a mushroom in a picture, and I'm sold.

  3. I am enjoying your sketches! Thank you for introducing me to John Bauer. Have you seen Arthur Rackham? He's one of my favorite illustrators from the golden age.
