Retired

Oils...
My enemy.  
Just completed this piece, and I actually am pleased with the results. And it's also the first oil painting that I've finished.

  5. Looks great Aedan! Interesting choice of blues/greys for the skin tones. Oils are my enemy as well, but hopefully one day I'll rise to meet their challenge again...

  6. Looks better if you lean back in your seat, if you stick your face right at the screen you can't see the eyes very well. With distance you can see the glimmer better.

  7. Interesting... his nose is huge, but it's kind of squashed into his face. He looks like a retired accountant who is stingy with his wealth and has "too many" grand kids who are wreaking his library.
